In Dhaka, Bangladesh, women often take on extremely demanding tasks, such as carrying heavy bricks in brickfields and unloading sand from ships while balancing heavy baskets on their heads. Many also work in factories that recycle plastic bags.

This type of labor is not only physically exhausting but can also lead to various health challenges. These women endure long hours in unhealthy conditions, inhaling toxic air and handling harmful materials without proper protection.

Despite these difficulties, many women bravely take on additional responsibilities at home, motivated by the need to support their families with their hard-earned income. They often care for their children while working as well.

Their resilience in the face of such challenging conditions is admirable and showcases their strength. It has been an honor to photograph these courageous women, despite the difficult circumstances they face; their positive energy has deeply moved me.
